The burnt-orange plain silk saree

This one is not a costume. Nayanthara is not part of the cast of Toxic — she turned up backstage at the film's trailer launch event in Bengaluru on 8 August 2026, filmed by @spotreelsentertainments, and the outfit is hers, not a character's. No designer or stylist credit has been published anywhere we could find, so nothing below carries a brand name except the lookalikes.

The saree is a solid burnt-orange / deep tangerine, and it stays that one colour from the pallu to the hem — there is no printed motif, no woven zari border and no contrast pallu anywhere in the full sixteen seconds of the clip. The only texture in the cloth is a fine self-tone tissue-silk sheen, a subtle horizontal shimmer that only shows as the fabric catches the light, never as a pattern. It is draped in a plain nivi style with the pallu loose over the left shoulder.

The blouse is sleeveless with a deep V-neck, cut from the same solid orange as the saree rather than a contrasting shade — the whole outfit reads as one colour in two textures.

Jewellery is a slim gold choker-length necklace, a stack of gold bangles, one ring and a gold watch, with hair pulled back into a low, sleek bun.
