The red Suta saree and the green blouse

This is not a film costume. On 22 August 2026 Pearle Maaney published an episode of her own show with Nayanthara and Kavin sitting opposite her, out promoting Hi, and what she hosted it in was a red cotton saree and a plain green blouse. No stylist's set piece, no borrowed couture — an outfit you could put together this week. Nayanthara's saree from the same sofa is already on this site; this is the other half of that room.

The saree is the reason this page exists, because for once the original is both identifiable and still in stock. It is Suta's Aatish-E-Gul, ₹2,500 on the label's own store. That is not a guess off a caption: the two things that make this saree what it is both match frame for frame. The border is a dark olive-grey — not black, not maroon, a genuinely muddy green-grey — and it is edged on both sides by a fine orange-gold zari line, so at a distance the border reads as a dark stripe with a hot rim. And the red field is not plain: it carries short gold zari dashes, scattered like stitches, which you only see when the light catches them. Freeze the frame where her hands rest in her lap and they are unmistakable. The cloth itself is a soft cotton blend, 5.5 metres, matte, with enough weight to fall in real folds rather than stand away from her, and the pallu end shades from red into a deep pink before it finishes in red tassels.

One thing to know before you buy it: it does not come with a blouse piece. Suta sell it as the saree alone and say outright that the blouse in their own photographs is from their in-house collection. So the green blouse on this page is a second purchase, whichever route you take.

That blouse is a solid mid-green with a satin sheen to it, a wide scooped U-neck sitting low and flat across the collarbone, and short sleeves that end just above the elbow. There is nothing on it — no zari, no embroidery, no piping, no contrast. It changes shade constantly through the episode, reading almost sage when the afternoon sun is behind her and a deep bottle green in the shade, which is the sheen doing it rather than two different blouses. Nobody has credited a label for it and we are not going to invent one. The one below is ours, chosen to match the three things that are actually visible: the neckline, the sleeve length and the finish.

The jewellery is not listed here, and that is deliberate. The episode carries a sponsor line for a gold house, but a sponsor line is not a product credit — no necklace, earring or bangle in it is named by anyone, and naming a maker we inferred is the one thing this site will not do. Her footwear never appears in a single frame either. So the list below is two garments, which is all the outfit actually is.
