The cream floral chiffon kurta set

This is not a costume. Sivaangi wore this at home for Onam — Thiruvonam fell on 26 August 2026 — and posted it to her own Instagram, captioned as her first Onam as an entrepreneur. It is not something she wears in a film.

It is also one of the few looks on this site we can price exactly, and the rarest kind: the real set is in stock. It is Zari Jaipur's Printed Chiffon Kurta, and the brand is selling it at ₹2,794 against a ₹6,985 list, in every size from XS to XXL. Not a lookalike. The actual set.

The kurta is chiffon on a cream ground, printed with large watercolour roses — apricot and burnt-orange blooms across the shoulders and sleeves, deep pink and coral roses through the body, small blue-grey blossoms and green foliage filling the gaps. The blooms are big enough that a single rose covers most of the upper arm, which is what makes the print read as painterly rather than busy. It opens all the way down the front in a deep V, and both edges of that opening carry a narrow contrast placket studded with a close-set line of small dark buttons — the detail that identifies the piece beyond doubt, and you can see it clearly in the mirror frames. There is an empire seam just under the bust with the whole skirt gathered from it, and the sleeves are sheer, gathered into a soft puff at the shoulder and finished at a narrow cuff.

The palazzo and the dupatta are the same set. Both are the matching chiffon, both come in the same box, and both are covered by the same ₹2,794 — Zari Jaipur lists the package as three pieces, so there is nothing separate to buy.

Two things are worth knowing before you order, because she does not wear it the way the brand photographs it. Zari Jaipur styles the set over its own coral inner yoke; Sivaangi wears the open kurta over a plain ivory inner instead, which is what makes the front of her look read cream-and-white rather than cream-and-coral. And she wears no dupatta in any frame of the footage, though one is included.

Two things are deliberately missing from the list below. Her footwear never appears — she is filmed from the hips up at a mirror, then from behind a kitchen counter — so there is nothing to name. The palazzo is in the same position: it comes with the set, but no frame shows it, so we are telling you what is in the box rather than what we have seen on her.

Below the set are two of our own picks from the high street, for anyone who wants the same idea for less. They are our choices, not Zari Jaipur's, and each card says exactly where it differs. We looked hard for something closer under ₹1,500 and there isn't one — the cheap end of the high street does cream florals in small scattered ditsy prints or in bright pink, and almost nothing puts large soft watercolour roses on a cream ground. That is precisely why the real set at ₹2,794, with three pieces in the price, is the pick.
