The pale yellow linen shirt

This is not a costume. Suriya does not wear this in Vishwanath and Sons — it is what he wore *to* the film's pre-release event at Lulu Mall, Thiruvananthapuram on 8 August 2026, filmed on his arrival by the Kerala event photographer @vivek_kovalam and posted the same day.

No brand has been credited for any of it. We looked before we priced anything: the photographer is not a seller, his stylist for the film's promotional shoots has published nothing for this appearance, and none of the outlets that covered the event ran styling credits. So nothing on this page claims to be the garment he is actually wearing. Every piece below is our own pick from what the high street stocks, and every one of them says where it differs from what is on camera.

The shirt is a pale butter-yellow — a soft lemon rather than a bright one — in a matte linen-look weave with the drape to match. It is a full-sleeve shirt worn with the sleeves rolled to just below the elbow, a standard point collar on a proper stand rather than a Cuban or camp collar, a plain front placket with tonal buttons, and a single plain patch pocket at the left chest. He wears it untucked with the top two or three buttons open. Nothing on it is contrast-stitched, printed or logo'd.

Below it are flat-front, straight-leg chinos in a mid khaki. Worth knowing before you match a shade: they read as a warm mid-khaki in the overcast light outside and noticeably paler indoors under the mall's warm lighting. It is the same pair of trousers in both — that is the light, not two outfits.

The one accessory that carries the look is a pair of heavy black acetate sunglasses with a large, squared front, worn throughout. He also has a steel bracelet watch on his left wrist; it never resolves clearly enough to name, so it is not listed.

His shoes are not listed either, and that is deliberate. The crowd, the queue bollards and the photographer's own watermark cover his feet in every single frame of the clip. A tan-ish shoe is glimpsed and never confirmed, and a guessed piece would be worth less than an honest gap.
