Kinjo
Maroon fit-and-flare midi dress
Lookalike of the piece Aishwarya Lekshmi wore.

The colour and the shape are the match, and they are the two things that carry this look across a room: the same deep maroon, and the same idea of a close bodice releasing into a full, soft, unstructured skirt. It is the closest thing on the high street to the silhouette of the Rhonda at a bit over a quarter of the price. Know the three differences before you buy, because they are real. The neckline here is a soft scoop hung on thin spaghetti straps, where the Mazikien dress has a flat square neck on wide set-in straps — that squared line is the single most recognisable thing about the original. The fabric is a satin-look weave that catches light, where hers is a matte linen-cotton that does not shine at all. And there is no contrast topstitching, so you lose the pale seam lines tracing the bodice. If you want to get closer, the fix is styling rather than shopping: keep the jewellery to one fine chain and wear nothing else, the way she does.
