The indigo patchwork jacket set

This one is not a costume. Vanitha Vijayakumar wore it to the set of "Bigg Boss – The Common Man" — the Bigg Boss Tamil pre-show that streamed on Star Vijay and JioHotstar from 16 August to 6 September 2026 — so it is her outfit and a shop's, not a costume department's.

What makes the page worth writing is that the label is known, which almost never happens with an appearance. It is Ilaara Studio's "Neelambari" set, and it is one product rather than three: the jacket, the crop top and the pants are sold together.

The jacket is what settles it. Aubergine-indigo muslin silk, floor length, open all the way down with no fastening, printed all over in a fine bandhani dot — small pale flecks in loose clusters, no bigger than a grain of rice at broadcast resolution. Down each front edge runs a wide embroidered band: a silver-grey braid on the outer edge, then a column of temple figures, elephants and lotus heads worked in magenta, coral, cream and mustard, with a deep teal-green facing showing on the inside edge behind them. A sheer patchwork organza panel in slate, taupe and charcoal blocks hangs down her side and pools over her lap in the seated shots. Every one of those details lines up with the brand's own product photography.

The pants are the same aubergine bandhani dot, wide through the leg.

The crop top under the jacket needs a word of caution. It is a multi-panel patchwork — vertical bands and blocks in cream, black, coral and mustard, with a printed border at the waist — but only a narrow slice of it shows through the open jacket, and the panels that happen to fall across her chest are not the ones the brand's model shows. It is part of the same three-piece set; this page just does not pretend to describe more of it than is actually visible.

Three things are not on the list below. Her gold choker, the big silver-and-pink jhumkas and the septum ring are her own jewellery and nobody credits any of them. The watch on her left wrist never resolves. And she is seated for nearly the whole clip, so her footwear is never in frame — guessing at it would be the fastest way to get this page wrong.
